The case for consumption-based taxing

Income taxes are not fair, transparent, nor proportional among the people of the United States. They also create excess work and expenses for people that cannot possibly understand the thousands of pages of code.
Income Taxes should be barred from being used by the Federal Government, but instead replaced with a straightforward Federal sales tax. To make prices even more clear, they must always be displayed with all taxes and fees included.
However, that sales tax should extend to every single transaction type with no exceptions. Those who pay for bigger toys pay would pay more in taxes.
